Else Uhlmann
South African artist living in Sweden.

Else was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1949.

She studied at the University of Stellenbosch and obtained a Bachelor degree in Art. Thereafter she continued her studies for one year as a guest student at Fokwangschule für Gestaltung in Essen-Werden, Germany.

Returning to South Africa Else performed as Art Director with an advertising firm in Pretoria.

Immigrating to Sweden 1977, she commenced her fulltime professional career as artist in painting. Presently Else is working and living in Gothenburg.

Else is musical, playing the violin and piano, is an eager reader and commands four languages. With a single hcp, she is an ardent golfer and loves the outdoor life.

• Portrait painting: For the family of ABB's president, Percy Barnevik and the family Salvador Grimaldi. Also for company directors and private collectors
